Once Upon A Holiday

The next day, Ross gets a last-minute job. He gets to cover Princess Catherine attending the Montserai String Quarter Christmas Concert. You can trust that this will lead to so many delightful things.

Once Upon a Holiday

Once Upon a Holiday features 15 holiday songs performed by well-known vocalists from the past. Many of the 15 songs are recognized favorites like Mel Torme's "The Christmas Song" and Lawrence Welk's "Frosty the Snowman." In addition, there are a number of lesser-known holiday songs like Kay Starr's "December" and the Ewing Sisters' "Grandfather Kringle." Because of this mix of favorites and obscurities, Once Upon a Holiday ends up being rather spotty, even though the quality is high throughout.

When an actual, honest-to-goodness royal princess runs off from her official obligations and duties for a couple of days to see how the other half lives, she winds up falling for a good Samaritan who is unaware of her real identity during the holiday season. Will her true love still feel the same way once he learns the truth?

We passed the occasional village, the single storey corrugated iron houses painted in bright reds and yellows or fresh whites. Apart from the odd local, also driving at holiday pace because Iceland is an incredibly relaxed country, the road was ours. It was the most stress free holiday arrival we have ever had.

Once Upon A Christmastime is sure to deliver holiday delight, princess style! On December 10th children will enjoy unforgettable interactions with their favorite storybook princesses in their formal winter wear. With purchase of a ticket, children will enjoy a delicious meal with Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Anna, Elsa, Ariel and Tinkerbell as they mingle with guests in our ballroom, lead a special welcome dance and conduct a wishing ceremony. As a bonus, all ticket holders will receive admission for that evening's Winter Wonderland: A Holiday Lights Spectacular ($20 value).

Art from"Once Upon a Holiday" has inspired the theme of this year's holidaydecorations at Nordstrom.

"It's amazing how the characters came to life through the illustrationsand to see them become larger than life in our store holiday decorations. Theartist captured exactly what I was thinking when I wrote it. There's somethingmagical about seeing it all come together," said Schliep.

The whimsical characters from the book will appear in Nordstrom storedecorations, catalogs, gift cards, holiday bags and on the company's websitewww.nordstrom.com. The holiday trim in stores and online will invoke a magicalwinter woodland theme that matches the book's illustrations with colorful andlively winter birds and friendly forest animals, snow-kissed tree branches, ornate chandeliers, wreaths and candles. Moon, a beloved character from thebook, will also be part of the trim.

Not only has the book inspired the trim, but it has also inspired a slewof gift ideas in Nordstrom stores and at Nordstrom.com.
