There is a working driver at _id=225&pcid=41, a bit down the page listed as "DCHU (for PC Vendors)". Getting it installed is a bit tricky, it seems. What I did is this:First install the downloaded driver by unpacking the zip file and "pnputil /add-driver *.inf /subdirs /install" (the /install is probably not necessary) from the extracted "Win11_DCHU" directory. It will add the two driver packages to the driver store and tell you what oemXY.inf files it has assigned to them.Then "pnputil /enum-drivers", and in the output look for Prolific drivers other than the ones from the previous step. I had only one other entry, a "ser2pl.inf" version "09/16/2021 220.127.116.11".Disconnect the device, and "pnputil /delete-driver oemXY.inf" with the INF file you located in the previous step.Connect the device again, and it should work, at least, it does for me. The problem is probably that the non-working driver is the newest (September 2021 vs. July for the ones from the download page) and so Windows prefers it over them.
Windows 11 update loaded Prolific PL2303 driver 18.104.22.168 and when I go to device manager it says "Please install corresponding PL2303 driver to support Windows 11 and further OS" This driver does not even attempt to communicate with my X10 CM11 hooked to my serial port. I had to go to Prolific website and load their current driver 22.214.171.1247. (uninstall driver first) Serial to X10 device now working fine. Don't install Windows update for Prolific or it will change it back.

we are a team of 4 engineers from Egypt working on a Flight Simulation Rig that rotates 360 degrees on 2 axis. We managed to build the simulation Rig and test it with a game (HAWX). it performs pretty well but after a few min of playing a time shift between the simulation and the rig appears.So we decided that we need feedback from the game it self with the plane exact angle of rotation on both x an y axis so we can compare it with the cabin orientation using the gyro on it , and the best way to do that is build a simple flight sim game using Cry engine and take the needed readings from it.So here is the question :Is it possible to send the plane angles of rotation data over serial bus in real time to our micro controller ?And if it is , can some one point us towards a similar project or a guide for how to do it.We really appreciate your feed back, it would really help us a lot. and best regards
Mike the Goat, Clive, and I have all described setups like this at times. We all used serial ports for transfer at some point. However, Clive has described IR ports for enhanced speed w/out as much EMSEC issue and I once used IDE in PIO mode for (20-40Mbps?) non-DMA link. Requirement is that Internet-connected transport computer must convert incoming messages into simple format to be sent over simple non-DMA protocol. You also need to be able to do some low-level coding (and correctly) for the guard. Good news is that a number of microkernels already have serial or IDE drivers with support for ARM. So, an ARM microcontroller board (fresh or repurposed COTS) is a start.
